Our History

MotaFit has been proudly servicing the local community of Croydon for over 29 years.

MotaFit Service Centre Croydon was originally established in 1989 on Windsor Road by Danny and Mary Tabacchiera. The business moved to its current location in the year 2000.

Danny had 21 years of experience in the automotive industry before he opened MotaFit with his wife in 1989. He started as an apprentice with Holden, and worked his way up from there to leading hand, to service adviser, to service manager.

Exactly 30 years to the day after he opened Motafit, Danny decided to retire and sell Motafit to Jaydon and Tahlia Dobell, knowing the business would be in good hands.

Continuing as a local, family-owned business, Motafit has not missed a step and continues to provide absolutely peerless automotive services to their valued customers. Jaydon has 11 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, and Tahlia has 7 years of experience in the automotive industry. Their employee, who stayed on when Danny retired, has over 40 years of automotive experience.

Jaydon and Tahlia are proud to continue Motafit's tradition of taking pride in workmanship and treating the customer as a human being, rather than a number.
